Tacoma Foil

Image

This came in from Louisiana. At first, I thought the aluminum foil was there as a cheap alternative to window tinting or something to keep anyone from seeing what’s in the back of the truck. If that was the case, then why-oh-why is there foil on both sides in the back on the outside? So, now I’m thinking it’s a stylistic element as well. Form and function, right?

Forklift Parking

I was screwing around on the internet (as usual) and came across this picture. I’m not 100% sure on where it was taken, but judging from the trees and from what I can make out of the license plates, I’m guessing Louisiana.

I guess to the forklift operator decided he needed to do some shopping on his break and he didn’t feel like walking from the loading dock to the front of the store or to his car… It’s sad to say, but my guess is that this guy is probably someone who could use more walking in his life. (In case that went over anyone’s head, I’m saying he’s a large human being!)

Shady Lane is a Dead-End Street

Image

I was driving around in my native habitat of Louisiana over the last week and found this gem. Shady Lane is, in fact, a dead-end street both literally and metaphorically. On top of that, it’s a dead-end street in a trailer park!

The list:

Awesome street name – Check!

Even better physical/metaphorical sign under it – Check!

Deliciously White Trash Trailer – Check!

I’m pretty sure I am pretty much the most awesome person alive right now because I got all those things in one picture. The only way it would have been better is if the sun hadn’t kept me from getting a good picture of the El Camino at the trailer next door in the shot too! It had a 4-wheeler and a two 2×6 boards (for ramps I assume) in the back of it! You can’t make this stuff up!

Truck? Who needs a truck?

Image

Hey, when there is a prime swing set on the side of the road on trash day, you have to act fast!

This was spotted in Central Louisiana. I’m guessing they got tired of waiting for Larry to get back to the house with his truck, so they took matters into their own hands. I especially like how all the swings are still attached… Along with a red and black jacket still hanging on it. These guys obviously made a quick snatch. Who needs a truck?
